Stora Sjöfallet Mountain Centre is situated one and a half hours north-west of Gällivare in the heart of true Lappish wilderness. To the south you can see the shore of Lake Langas; to the north is protected virgin forest; and to the west and north the view is dominated by the massif and the beautiful mountain valleys. The sense of wilderness is tangible and the days ahead of you are comfortably challenging. What we have created here is a simple but well-equipped and easily accessible mountain lodge where you can experience a real mountain holiday in its most comfortable form. We give you a cosy bed to sleep in, a big breakfast, gourmet Lappish meals, sauna, bar and open fire. We even prepare a packed lunch for your day out, and provide you with all the equipment you need. Our skilled guides can assist you with everything. A pair of stout boots and some comfortable clothing is all you need to bring along. Sleep well Just because you are up in the mountains you do not have to spend the nights in a sleeping bag under the open sky. Stora Sjöfallet Mountain Centre has a total of 70 comfortable beds in three buildings, divided into two-bed rooms or apartments for 6 – 8 people. The accommodation is simple, clean and attractive. Shower, TV-room and kitchen are shared by guests in the same apartment or building. Live simply but comfortably The main building has a small shop with a range of basic goods and souvenirs. Reception also offers accessories and equipment for mountain walking and fishing, as well as hunting and fishing permits. In the courtyard we have a small petrol station.
